How to Install Door Lining: A Step-by-Step Guide

Installing a door lining (or door frame) is an essential part of any door installation. A well-fitted door lining ensures the door operates smoothly and fits securely. Before you begin, gather the necessary tools and materials:

  • Spirit level
  • Tape measure

Step 1: Measure and Prepare the Opening

Step 2: Assemble the Door Lining Kit

  1. Drill pilot holes through the door lining into the wall structure (studs or masonry).
  2. Fix the lining in place using screws or nails, starting from the top and working your way down.
  3. Keep checking with the spirit level as you secure each side to prevent twisting or warping.
